Paula Burdick, Montessori Directress, was an active parent with the school while her daughter was enrolled and is one of the past Parent Board Presidents. She served as a substitute teacher for four years before joining the Forest Lake Montessori School full time in 1987 as an Assistant Montessori Teacher. Paula earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Minnesota and completed her Montessori training at the Center for Contemporary Montessori Programs at the College of St. Catherine. She is certified as a Directress by the American Montessori Society.
Kim Grove, Montessori Teaching Aide, joined the Forest Lake Montessori teaching staff in 2002. Her daughter was previously in the program for three years. Kim served as the Parent Board Secretary and as a substitute teacher for two years. She received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of St. Thomas in 1993. Kim has previous experience as a Montessori Teaching Aide in Shoreview.
Krista Bakken, Aide, joined the teaching staff in 2008. Her son was previously in the program for three years. Krista served as a substitute teacher for two years and as the school’s registrar.
